Farming

Working at Amigo Bobs farm was hot.  We made rows over irrigation hoses.  Afterwards we shared a nice dinner and stayed the night.

Now we are on the road again. 

Canyoneering

  Gearing up for more adventures North of here.  Mt. Shasta...  For now, here are some pictures of the river.

Climbing on both sides of the canyon.  Too much water spilling out of Spaulding Lake.  Another one of the Sierras secrets.

This gorge was steep and gnarly, with water rushing out with a cool air.  The noise was immense and the spray from the crashing water floated up in clouds.



The gorge dumped its torrent into the Yuba amongst a jumbled mess of boulders.

  We have been spending our time exploring the yuba river.  We will post a picture of a gorge that blew our minds.  Lots of nice weather, great food, and time to think.

Unemployed and Stoked

    With only one more Squaw Valley paycheck to cash and a world to explore my brother and I are setting our navigation west.  After skiing, climbing, and skating a little we have gotten our love for adventure sparked, and hope to slide on over to see an old buddy from West Virginia.  This rainstorm we are having reminds me of home, foggy and wet, keeping us chilling around the house.  All along only sun or snow I have seen, so this Spring shower tells me summer is around the corner.

California, skiing, climbing and skating all possible.  Some amazing climbs at Donner.  Lots of skiing around the crags.  Sun all day, time for fun.  Exploring the steep slopes of the Donner Pass, wishing I had a whole winter to ski it all.  More adventures waiting here than one could hope for.

After a day skating, and seeing the area, we are searching for climbing in the Donner Pass area.  I am sure we will find something to clamber around on, as much rock as there is there.
