A journey of skateboarding across the United States, at skateparks in various cities. I am organizing to build a skate park in my hometown of Davis, West Virginia. A skate park that is free of charge and open to everyone will be a positive addition to the community, providing a place for kids and athletes alike to gather and skate.

Lake Tatatatatatahoe
A dip into cold water is good for your muscles. At 1 am my Argentinian friend and I took a plunge into the lake. Shivering and shaking he just had to get pictures for facebook. He said I was the only kid crazy enough to do this with him, and that we were so rad, and noone else was as tough as us. We made it back to the car without hypothermia and loving life. I stayed at the hostel on the couch so I did not have tovwake up in 5 hours and drive back to the mountain. Dancing and skinny dipping are recomended for good health!

Hotwheels Gully
At Alpine Meadows yesterday I discovered a run that my friends and I just had to hit over and over. Hotwheels Gully is a deep canyon that turns from a powdery fun-filled tree run to a slammin' natural half-pipe. My buddy had two collisions with other people; I am glad he wears a helmet, that tall clumsy friend of mine. All day enduring the wind and shredding, I can say my body is quite content. Only time on the shore of Lake Tahoe satisfies my soul, and time with friends to warm my heart. My friend from Chile is spinning tonight at a club, so dancing will be later. No skating for the rain is falling. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XZmftw7WoHo

Sierra Slush
I had dinner last night with some friends, soaked in the hottub, and woke up to the wettest snow piling up. On the drive up Squaw Rd. I picked up a man who was driving the trucks that take away the snow plowed up in the parking lot. We saw a car that had slid into some boulders off the road. 5 inches at the base, and more on the way. My roommates can't get out of the driveway, and I'm praying for wind so i can have off work, ski ski ski.

Califrnia Baby
Now that Spring is here we are getting covered with fresh snow. I had a great day today skiing at Squaw Valley in a storm. Even though I have a pass to two amazing ski areas, I can probably count the amount of days I have skied on my fingers. That is not normal for me, growing up at White Grass where I skied after school or every chance I could. I guess work becomes your life, so you had better do what you love. I have met a lot of new friends, seen many beautiful places, and gotten myself out there in the world. One step at a time, day by day, breathe by breathe... Making my way.

Reno, Nevada
I spent my day off with an old man who had climbed mount everest. We toured around lake tahoe abd ended up down in the capital of Nevada, Carson City. Afterwards we visited a skatepark in Reno that was a lot of fun. The wind was so strong that it tugged my board away from me if I jumped.
This park had a great snake bowl that you could pump down into a big bowl. Then there were three bowls next to eachother, small to bigger. Next to that was a huge bowl that had cool graffiti. Opposite those bowls was a wide open street section. The only bad part about it was that the surface was cracking, especially around the seams.
After Reno, we drove out of the dsert back to Truckee. I even got to make a few ski runs at Squaw Valley, which completed my day. Along with hanging out with JC Riley, a die hard mountaineer. He plans to ride a special bike that you pedal with your arms instead of legs to Baja Mexico.

Spring
Now that the deep powder has been chopped, diced, and beaten down by thousands of skiers and a warm, sunny day, I have work off. But that will never stop a determined mountain boy, not when there is still snow all covering the mountains. Oh, wait and see how the snow flies as skiis skim smoothly over snowy slopes. Watch the appearance change from emaculate to tracked. Work with the flow of nature. Ski.

Rain and Snow
Lots of snow that is very wet has fallen the past two days. I skied today in the powder and slush till close, and even got to make some runs with my friends from South America. After drying off my roommates and I played some rowdy tunes. Hopefully ski some deep powder tomorrow.

Slow down
I have not been working due to inclement weather. Passing the time with quality time with my new friends, a little backwoods tele skiing, and catching full nights of sleep. I hope to have more photos...

Chico
Visited Chico, California yesterday. Ate some tasty Babaganoush, a hazelnut latte, and of course, In-n-Out. (One TwoxTwo, and one ThreexThree. If you are not familiar with In-n-Out, a 2x2 is two burgers in a patty, and 3x3 three burgers in a bun. I think you can get up to 5x5!) We also went to the Sierra Nevada Brewing Company and had a half pint of bitter beer. It was supposed to have a biscuit like character, so I had to try it. Oh yeah, there were flowers blooming and plants sprouting. Back up in Squaw Valley now, with wet snow coming down, and work off because the Funitel didn't open.

A Place to Call My Own
I just got off work early today, it is snowing and windy, and I am moving into a house. The hostel is a tough situation, with kids making noise or peeing on the floor, and not to mention the ever present sniffles. I am looking forward to a day off work tomorrow, having some chill time, and getting into music. We may be in for a week of snowy weather up here in Tahoe, so keep sliding towards spring.

Oh yeah, Its All Good
SO, it turns out I am living in 1 of the top 25 ski towns in the world. Truckee, California is on the list along with Chamonix France, and Taos NM.

Sunny Ski Smile
Today is my only day to have fun, so I am checking out the local Tahoe cross country ski areas. I am off to Tahoe Donner X-C Ski Area; with fresh snow from a few days ago, sun in abundance, and skiis on loan from the Squaw Valley Nordic Yurt, I am stoked!

Ski on anything
Please watch this ski video. It has a somber feeling to it, but it will pump you up.

And now I am going to the Village at Squaw for Snow Fest. I just saw out my hostel window a torchlight parade and a firework display. One love.

Sorry Folks, I Was Busy
I have been working, partying, and skiing. Also, learning portugese, Cuau e seu nome?(what is your name) and Tudo bem?(how are you) Oi and Obregado (hello, thank you) I skied Alpine Meadows today, deep in powder. Yestersay at Squaw I ran into Corey Lily and his older brother Bob. They are from WV and started a company skiertrash.com selling clothing and swag. Also, I skied with Matt the windmill guy. Last, I met someone who skis in NY at a private area called Hollymont, but he knows Deryl Hensley, the tele man at Timberline, WV. It is a small world friends.
